The first Form of the medal was on 18 May 1842 donated by King Friedrich Wilhelm IV as "Army medal" and has on the back the initials - F - W - IV -. Get this medal have the grenadier company, which were divided as a guard of honor for the king at the silver wedding of Tsar Nicholas I and his wife Alexandra, Princess of Prussia. Awarded were only 128 pieces. Under King William I, the medal was revived and again awarded with the Schiffre adam pitts - W -.
