Jane Hayes is a young New Yorker apparently quite normal, but she has a secret: his secret talsma furniture obsession with Mr. Darcy, or more precisely for Colin Firth playing Mr Darcy in the BBC adaptation of Pride and Prejudice. Result, her love life is close to nothing: no man is to live up to the comparison. When a rich relative leaves him a legacy 3-week stay in an upscale center for addicts Austen, Jane's fantasies involving a chance meeting with a hero shot straight at the time of the Regency became a little too real.
"Let the one who has never fantasized about the Mr Darcy of Bridget Jones, aka Colin Firth, cast the first Earl Grey cup!" (Ellle, Belgium) So I think Bridget should avoid taking tea with me ... because I already hate Earl Grey, then because I've talsma furniture never fantasized about Colin Firth, even if it is an excellent Darcy.
It is perhaps for this reason that I am not attached to Jane, I did not absolutely identify with her. It is significant and has the potential to appeal to fans of Jane Austen, but with me, it does not stick. I can not say either that I totally hooked to the other characters, I'm loved, they all have a little something of their models (heroes talsma furniture and heroines of Jane Austen) and I probably missed a few references since I do not know them all. In some situations, I found the character traits too exaggerated but I think that they are actors so at that level, it works perfectly. I still had a preference for Miss Charming has amused me throughout the novel. No gentleman has not affected me another and I knew right away how were going to finish the emotional tribulations talsma furniture of Jane although it must be recognized that some things have surprised me. Austenland is a compelling park where you can really live like in the time of Austen, with all the rules that I've enjoyed talsma furniture (re) discover.
The story has a good pace, the twists are enough and even though I saw the end coming, we can not do it obviously. It's not won for Jane! Despite the limited number of characters, there are enough stories to each other so we do not get bored. What has tired me, however, it is the "insights" of Jane that are redundant. She decides to take several times in the novel, but I have not seen big changes in his attitude.
This is a book that reads well, it's fluid and I loved the listing with comments boyfriends Jane. It's original and it adds spice to the story. But I have not been seduced by the heroine and her story has not really affected me.
